About Darin

Here is some info on my about my experience:

I have been a teacher for the past 15 years. I have taught at the high school, jr. college and university level. I am currently teaching chemistry at Humboldt State University and I have a natural aptitude for numbers and budgets.

I have served in student government since elementary school including holding a top office while attending Humboldt State University. I emphasized in budget matters and chaired finance committees with multi-million dollar budgets

As a teacher I served on many committees as well as budget committees responsible for multi-million dollar budgets.

I have always been politically active. My first experience was over 20 years ago when I was involved in the effort to stop offshore oil drilling and exploration. Since then I have been active with issues about which I am concerned such as water issues, fisheries issues, and county park uses to name a few.

I have several degrees including chemistry, math, physical science as well as multiple high school and junior college teaching credentials. I also have extensive post graduate coursework in environmental engineering.
